Beyond the Sale: Empowering Families Through Insurance Education
Customer attitudes and behaviors are deeply intertwined in the insurance industry. Attitude directly influences one's decisions regarding insurance coverage. Many people have preconceived notions about both life and health insurance. In my experience, once educated more on the topic, clients no longer see insurance as an unnecessary expense but a pathway to financial security and risk management. It brings me joy to educate clients and I pride myself on always making sure that they know that I’m not just there for a sale but to genuinely help them.
Ultimately, the goal for each and every insurance agent should be to lead more families to recognize the value of insurance coverage, if this is accomplished we are no longer just agents but advocates.
In some ways, I feel like I'm back in the classroom teaching elementary and middle school students. In order to have a successful lesson it was my job as an educator to:
● Ensure the students knew the importance of what they were learning (The “why?”)
● Break down/ensure they fully comprehended the material
● Last but not least, entirely make sure that my students knew that I was coming from a place of love that only wanted what was best for them.
